WILDBRAIN SIGNS NEW DISTRIBUTION PARTNERSHIPS WITH LEADING PLATFORMS IN CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE FOR FAMILY-FAVOURITE SHOWS

New deals signed for Strawberry Shortcake, Caillou, Fireman Sam, Polly Pocket and more

 

WildBrain announces deals ahead of attending NATPE Budapest June 24-27, 2024

 

Toronto, ON – June 20, 2024 – WildBrain, a global leader in kids’ and family entertainment, has inked a range of new partnerships with multiple top platforms in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) across its leading distribution catalogue, reflecting the enduring popularity of classic family brands such as WildBrain’s Strawberry Shortcake and Caillou, alongside Mattel’s Fireman Sam, Polly Pocket and Bob the Builder, and more.

AMC has picked up a range of Caillou content for their pan-Europe channel, JimJam, including seasons 1–4 of Caillou’s New Adventures (120 x 5’), season 1 of the new CG-animated Caillou series (52 x 11’), and all five of the new Caillou family specials (44’ each), which provide perfect occasions for preschool-friendly viewing throughout the year for events like Halloween, Christmas, Summer Vacation and more. The first season of Pet Hotel (26 x 11’) and Pet Hotel shorts (100 x 2’) have also been picked up by AMC for its Minimax channel in Hungary, Romania, Moldova, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Balkan countries. AMC also acquired seasons 10 and 11 of Fireman Sam for its JimJam pan-European channel, alongside the special, Fireman Sam: Norman Price and the Mystery in the Sky (1 x 60’). These titles join seasons 1–3 of Strawberry Shortcake’s Berry Bitty Adventures already available on the JimJam platform.

 

Slovak Republic’s RiK is bringing multiple iterations of Strawberry Shortcake to fresh audiences, including the two latest seasons of Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City (80 x 9’), The Strawberry Shortcake Movie: Sky’s the Limit (1 x 70’), and all four Strawberry Shortcake CG-animated seasonal specials (44’ each). Each special joins Strawberry and her friends on an adventure at key seasonal points of the year for fall, winter, spring and summer. The deal also includes an extensive range of other library content, including: seasons 2–3 of Caillou’s New Adventures (60 x 5’), all five Caillou specials, (45’ each), season 7 of classic Polly Pocket (22 x 2’), season 1 of Bob the Builder (26 x 30’), season 8 of Fireman Sam (26 x 15’), the specials Fireman Sam: Norman Price and the Mystery in the Sky (1 x 60’) and Bob’s Broken Sleigh (1 x 60’), plus season 2 of Twirlywoos (50 x 15’). Season 1 of Ray of Sunshine (26 x 7’), Endangered Species (13 x 30’) and Space Ranger Roger (13 x 30’), as well as Ghost Patrol (1 x 60') also join RiK’s lineup.

 

In the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic, Nova has acquired season 1 of both Polly Pocket (26 x 30’) and Endangered Species (13 x 30’), as well as season 10 of Fireman Sam (24 x 15’ and a 1 x 30’ 2-part episode), and season 18 of the classic Bob the Builder (20 x 15’) series for its voyo.cz and voyo.sk platforms.
